This actually got way more religious than I had ever planned. I never wanted it to be religious at all. When I originally said I felt guilty it was because I don’t like to make any living thing suffer for no reason. My personal pleasure not being a good reason.

My reason to hunt is to feed me and my family. My family being my dog. He eats a lot of meat. I couldn’t apply this to fishing, and it was bothering me.

I still haven’t settled this in my mind, but I believe the only answer is to eat the fish I catch.

    DFG:
You should be proud of your forum here, and its membership. There aren’t many places on the internet where the ‘culture of outrage’ has not reared its ugly and pervasive head. Its not often that a discussion involving religion or catch/release doesn’t trigger some sort of irrational response. But here we witnessed BOTH in the same thread, and everything went swimmingly. I love the mental image of you standing with your hand poised expectantly over the BIG RED BUTTON; then, as time went on, relaxing your stance, withdrawing your hand, shrugging and walking away. Well done, folks.

Now, head cement? That, my friends, is a nefarious, denier, communist plot.

I was surprised you never posted Dave. I’m glad you finally said something.
