I’m Mike Ridenour. I’m a fly fisherman from Missouri. I’m not an exclusive dry fly fisherman but love fishing with dries. I’m not an accomplished fly guy but I spend as much time on the water as I can and once in a while manage to catch fish. I fish the local waters here, get out west to Wyoming every other year, make several trips north to Wisconsin, Michigan and New York every fall chasing salmon, browns and steelhead and try to make it to new water somewhere at least once a year. I like to fish in all seasons but have only been on the water 4 days so far this year due to some minor health issues that seem to be on the mend now.

I look forward to hanging out here and learning a thing or two about dry fly fishing, spending time communicating with folks that love to fish and just generally having a good time.

Hey mridenour, big welcome to you. I think you’ll like it here, being a small group of folks from the USA & Canada.

We’re not as active as other forums, but don’t let that bother you, because we are like a tight knit family here who likes to talk fishing ( and it doesn’t need to be only dries ) and have fun. We have a lot of respect for one another here and its a positive atmosphere.

Shouldn’t be too long before others chime in to welcome you.

Welcome to the forum Mike. As Scotty said we’re a small group but very enthusiastic for fly fishing. Especially, with dries. Make sure to ask any questions you have.
