I can’t stand idiots like that. No class at all.

Lot’s of hunters are the same way.

I see hunting shows and these are people who do this for a living, and they get so dramatic when they bring down the animal. I can’t stand it. I didn’t get that excited when my wife gave birth to our son. Not that I wasn’t happy, don’t get me wrong, but these hunters and this Mike guy, they need help.

I have seen Mike on t.v. before, and he does have a serious temper. That’s why he no longer has his own show. He kept throwing fits when a fish came off, busting up his rods, and I bet the sponcers just loved seeing that. But I guess it’s his attitude that brings ratings on the fishing competition shows.

As for the hunters, I want to believe it’s just show, and maybe to lure in new younger people into the sport. But I don’t know. It is over the top though in my opinion.

I don’t know any hunters who react like the TV hosts. Most of us realize that taking an animal’s life is serious business, not an excuse to do an end-zone dance. That’s not to say you can’t be proud of a difficult stalk and a clean shot but celebrating and getting all fist pumpy seems to me at best inappropriate and disrespectful of our prey. I think it would fuel anti-hunting sentiment more than inspiring youngsters to begin hunting.

People like Iaconelli are an embarrassment. I wouldn’t fish (much less hunt) with someone like that.

I have seen Mike on interviews, and he says he just gets into the emotion because he loves what he does. That is super, but I also believe it’s a trademark of his to act like that. It has certainly helped get his name known.

But to stand in the front of your boat & hook a fish and run to the back of the boat is, well it’s just way over the top. No need for it tripping over everything. I have seen him fall over the side once.

When he had his own show, he would throw terrible fits & break his rods. He was the host of that show for one season, then he was replaced by another person. No surprise.

He wouldn’t have to fall off the boat if I was there. I’d throw him off.

Yeah, I hear ya Creek. I don’t know how ( or why ) anyone would want to team with him in a tourney. I guess it’s a good thing they mostly don’t team up.

If I would fish with anyone, there are a few I’d pick, but he wouldn’t be on the list.
