I know the winter Olympics are to begin soon, and at this moment I am watching a great match between Scotland & Sweden womens curling. Seriously, I like curling.

But here’s my question, and it’s fishing related, so you can all relax now. At one point wasn’t there the idea of fly fishing in the summer Olympics? I could swear I heard that a few years ago since fly fishing is done pretty much all over the world.

That’s a new one on me. I sure hope not. I never agreed with making fly fishing a competition. Look what it did to fly fishing already.

I can swear that I heard the Olympic Committee was looking into it, the same year they made ball room dancing an event.

Watching the curling matches ( by the way, the women’s Scottish team took gold, and the men’s Scottish team seem to be doing the same right now. I knew you wanted to know that. 😀 ) but watching how the players rub the ice with their pads as the stone travels down the lane, I bet they’d like fishing with really fast rods, ha ha.
