    CA offers a low income senior fishing license, but the qualifying income level is nearly abject poverty!
    Luckily a friend told me about the USGS Senior Pass that gets us big discounts at federal campsites and free admission to National Parks and recreation areas that charge a fee. This helps offset the cost of nonresident licenses when we travel.

    I didn’t mind paying for a fishing license when I was in Calif, because I was working. I do remember that Calif offered a free fishing license, but you had to be 80. Cripes!

    I paid nonresident hunting fees in Colorado for 5 decades before moving here. Again, that was when I was woking.
