The CGR just went on sale for $65. Best bang for the buck ever!

7′ 4/5wt is the sweet one. Peach DT 5wt, furled leader combo is the best creek setup for Colorado.

With my rewards, I can get it for $35, unless I can’t use my rewards for on sale items. Either way, I’m going for it. Is it online only sale, or is the store also having this sale? Sometimes it’s only online.

    Thanks Creek.

I don’t know? I don’t have a store near me, so I always buy online. I see no mention of it being online only.

I was looking at the lines. I didn’t see any Cortland Peach, but did see the Cortland 444 sylk. Have you tried that line? I have not. I am interested in that SA Ultra for when my bamboo is completed. The box is attractive, ha ha. But it’s made for soft rods, and it’s not that $$$. I think Sportsmans Wharehouse has the Peach. I’ll have to look. There’s one across the street from Cabelas. I have lots of options, but will probably choose the one line I can find easily, and I know I have seen the Cortland Peach somewhere lots of times.

I hate the Cortland Sylk line. Here’s the peach.

I’ve found that Cabelas often doesn’t show the same price in stores as online. But I’m reasonably sure you could call them out on it and get that price.

I have the 5/6 CGR and it’s a great stick for the price. And I thought I got a good deal at $79.

I went to Cabelas after work and they had the 4/5 weight. Just one left of that weight. Had it in my hands, and noticed that it comes with a rod tube. Nobody was around for me to ask about the tube. I found a person in a different dept. but they were busy with other people.

    I’ll order it.

I just ordered the 7′ 4/5 weight. I do hope I like the feel with a fish on. I’ll probably line it for the 4wt aspects. Not a bad looking rod, and I did look at the Prime rods, but couldn’t get over the color. The CGR has a better color, and I really like spigot ferules.

And if it doesn’t work out, Creek may have 4 of them, ha,ha.

Got it, and thinking about it, I think your on to something here Creek. Now I’m getting anxious over it and can’t wait for it to hit my door step. Then maybe this weather will stable out a little. Snow today and 80’s by next weekend. Springtime in the Rockies!

Creek, when I got home from work there was a Cabelas CGR 7ft, 4/5wt. rod sitting on my porch.

    Let the games begin!
