On another thread DW mentioned how his sleeve gets caught in the reel handle, and I suggested to rotate the hand and place the finger on top of the grip.
Now this method may not be for everyone, but I did mention that I use it for short precise casts. I do this because I tend to over power my short casts when my thumb is on top of the grip. I have tried to over and over to cast more gently with the thumb, but it doesn’t work as well. Though going for distance, the thumb comes into play.
Do any of you change gripping style or anything when trying to be more accurate and softer presentations? I’m up to new suggestions if you have any.
